Ghast Ashpyre[edit]

Seemed to work fine during my runs. I just pull Ghast, then have the imp handle it. Whenever I am in aggro range he will try to use his skills against me or my pet (I am ranger). But if I leave him with the imp, then he just stops. Probably he wants to use his spells against me but attacking the imp takes priority or something ? But then the other bosses do not share that behavior. --Ruine User Ruine Eternelle Ruine Eternelle.jpg Eternelle 21:44, 14 October 2019 (UTC)

He seems quiet content to use skills against my imp particularly if I'm low on energy. I haven't tested running away from him. I also don't have a pet. Can you see what happens without the pet? 76.127.242.82 02:42, 17 October 2019 (UTC)
After several dozen runs, his skill usage is consistent with other mobs. The AI will not use ether feast or energy burn when you are low on energy (this can easily be tested against any foe with either one. Thirsty River is an excellent place to experiment with this if you want to see for yourself. The imp rapidly depletes its energy pool with flare spamming, and he wont use ether feast on it at that point. He may occasionally burn it, but that's rare.
You also need to consider the fact that summoning stones have a lower targeting priority than players. You can pull mobs off of stones simply by getting close to the mob. This also means that you will be a target priority for skill usage if applicable. (IE you have sufficient energy for the AI to use surge or feast in this case)
In conclusion, the note should stay removed. I do not think that a note regarding his skill usage belongs on his page. It may be worth adding it to the energy burn/surge and ether feast pages.

What discussion is there to be had? If you're referring to the Fisherman's Haven quests, you can take those quests in either order. I can log onto multiple different characters and trivially prove that. 76.127.242.82 02:16, 17 June 2020 (UTC)
