Why did you make all those "List of ___ skills" redirects? --JonTheMon 12:37, 5 April 2011 (UTC)

I had considerable trouble finding skill lists for a very long time when getting used to this wiki again - the Restoration Magic page is, functionally, a list of restoration magic skills, and that is what I used to search for. The policy on redirects appears to encourage their creation, in any instance where they may be useful - if arguably uncommon redirections are unnecessary or take up otherwise-needed space, then someone can go ahead and remove them (or I can try and do it myself? I'm not sure how yet), and I'll cut it out.
On the other hand, the "Protection Prayer -> Protection Prayers" and "Earth Prayer -> Earth Prayers", etc., redirects are consistent with the already-existent "Healing Prayer -> Healing Prayers" and "Smiting Prayer -> Smiting Prayers" redirects, so please be sure to leave those be. :) --76.166.187.131 23:39, 5 April 2011 (UTC)
Well, I'm kinda asking b/c the attribute pages already have the skill lists on them, and the naming convention you were using was akin to what is used at Guildwiki. --JonTheMon 00:52, 6 April 2011 (UTC)
I have very little clue what's on Guildwiki or not - because the attribute pages have skill lists on them, I made it so that someone looking for a skill list of that attribute would find the attribute page. A redirect. I'm not entirely sure what else there is to know. Did you have a specific question, or just want an explanation for the sudden series of updates? :) --76.166.187.131 07:09, 6 April 2011 (UTC)
... Should I continue making the aforementioned variety of redirects, leave them as is, or delete them? I'm leaving as-is until further notice, because I'm not entirely sure why you asked, but I would like to either keep making them if that's acceptable or to try to remove them. I like consistency. --76.166.187.131 04:34, 8 April 2011 (UTC)
If it is a common search term for new users, I'd leave them/finish them. --JonTheMon 05:49, 8 April 2011 (UTC)
K. =D I don't know how common it is, but I, at least, kept using that search terminology, so I'll finish them off and they can be removed later if it's decided they're useless, however it is you decide that. :) --76.166.187.131 05:59, 8 April 2011 (UTC)
I don't know that it's common, but I suspect that the people who use it wouldn't necessarily expect the "List of..." to appear on the attribute articles. (I'd actually prefer the skills to be on the list article and have the attribute article focus on just the attribute, but that ship sailed a long time ago.)
Put another way: I appreciate you doing this; seems useful for enough people to be worth the time.  — Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 09:36, 8 April 2011 (UTC)
I would suggest that you also add in the section title when making the redirects. That way they won't have to scroll down to the lists. --JonTheMon 12:38, 8 April 2011 (UTC)
Oh. Hey. Good idea. xD Thanks! =D --76.166.187.131 09:31, 9 April 2011 (UTC)
