blah[edit]

We're not sure if there's even going to *be* PvP in GW2. We've heard rumors about some terrible world PvP bullshit that casuals will love, but we've honestly heard nothing about any real PvP. Rumor has it that the group limit will be 5 players - if that carries over into PvP, the end product will be a copy of the 5s arena in WoW (boring deathmatches that are entirely spike-driven). We're all hoping for more stuff like tombs (which they alluded to when they mentioned competing in the rifts, but they haven't gone into any detail), and of course GvG is the prime concern, but I think they're just going to have a 5v5 death match instead of anything with a flag stand or guild lord.
That being said, their development teams seem to be on completely different planets. Any PvP questions in live interviews are met with blank stares, like the developers have no idea how to answer it. They're not even trying to lie about it - they simply don't know. With that little communication between departments, I doubt PvPers will be seeing rewards from HoM anytime soon (although GW2 is probably still a year off, so they have plenty of time to realize their mistake and fix it). -Auron 05:50, 11 October 2010 (UTC)

It seems to me that the idea of pvp rewards isnt out of the question, it's simply too far ahead in development to tell the playerbase of gw1, considering that we'd be even more pissed off if they promised us something and we didnt get it. I would say that the time to really start worrying is when they officially announce pvp content with previews, details, etc, and there is no mention whatsoever of achievemtsn transitioning from gw1. Honestly, it doesnt really make sense to include pvp rewards in the HoM because the HoM is entirely(ok, except 1 pvp title) pve based. 98.248.90.248 06:33, 11 October 2010 (UTC)
[1] This seems to indicate that PvP and PvE is going to be completely separate, which could explain the lack of communication between the departments. Wouldn't be surprised if PvP ended up with a completely different skill set than PvE.--Lania User Lania Elderfire pinkribbon.jpg07:28, 11 October 2010 (UTC)
