What's your IGN of your ranger (if you have one)? King Neoterikos 22:23, 18 May 2009 (UTC)

"Tanya Arrowmaster" is my main character, although I have a lot more PvE "Arrowmasters", with different first names, plus a PvP one "X Arrowmaster X", you can also see:

1. My Guild:Ranger_Animal_Magic page (of which I am guild leader).

2. My Tanya Arrowmaster Home Page

3. My Sandbox.

4. My Contributions.

You are welcome to contact me in-game.

I was just curious because I recently played with a ranger for the HM ZQ in Vloxen Excavations who was called something Arrowmaster. Just wondering. King Neoterikos 06:16, 19 May 2009 (UTC)
Could very well have been Tanya :) ... she certainly did it, amongst other chars. Arrowmaster 12:51, 19 May 2009 (UTC)

Please use the move button,[edit]

Dont just copy+paste. now i have to clean up links... --Neil2250 , Portal Jumper User Neil2250 sig icon6.png 18:36, 26 May 2010 (UTC)

Please stop[edit]

Please stop changing the links to Lion's Arch (War in Kryta). This has not been decided, nor has the move been completed. -- Wyn User Wynthyst sig icon2.png talk 19:01, 26 May 2010 (UTC)

We should form a committee, go on a 2 week retreat, take a vote to nominate candidates, wait another week, then take another vote while we look for another way to halt progress on content, then wait for the discussion to go stale for a month and THEN maybe we can make a change, you know, after a final vote to see if the first vote can be considered conclusive or not. Or we can realise we are not helping by putting a bandaid on a pricked thumb when our leg has been severed. 58.106.158.34 19:05, 26 May 2010 (UTC)

I have nearly finished now. So want to complete it and leave it a few days. There seems to be a consensus for this change and I am pretty sure that you were one that wanted Lion's Arch Keep (War in Kryta) in one of your earlier comments. Arrowmaster 19:20, 26 May 2010 (UTC)

I am pretty sure not. Please you have been asked to stop, now you are creating a revert war. -- Wyn User Wynthyst sig icon2.png talk 19:22, 26 May 2010 (UTC)
(Edit conflict) Let's go with the status quo for now (no keep) and stop the flood of edits until there is a solid consensus. --JonTheMon 19:24, 26 May 2010 (UTC)
Ummm... NO, I have NEVER wanted it to be Lion's Arch Keep (War in Kryta) -- Wyn User Wynthyst sig icon2.png talk 19:25, 26 May 2010 (UTC)
Calm Wyn,Calm, And Arrowmaster, Stop it alright? Just because youve done it doesent mean it cant be changed back. --Neil2250 , Portal Jumper User Neil2250 sig icon6.png 19:30, 26 May 2010 (UTC)

I have stopped. Please leave as is for now - cant do harm unless content of page needs to change. I tried to say so earlier but had edit conflict. Arrowmaster 19:33, 26 May 2010 (UTC)

Unfortunately, by changing all the location links on the NPC pages, it created a broken link to a non existent category, so they have all been changed back. You have to understand that on the wiki, consensus can sometimes take MONTHS, not hours, not even days. Also, never copy/paste entire pages. You lose the edit history when you do that which is a violation of the GFDL copyright (attribution has to be maintained). -- Wyn User Wynthyst sig icon2.png talk 19:36, 26 May 2010 (UTC)
Ok, well I was just working on the category problem, when the Linked to stuff started going haywire and people were doing reverts. I take your point about copy and paste, although I would have thought that must have been done at least once before from the Lion's Arch (Lion's Arch Keep) page, unless someone had to contact every single user that had contributed to that page to get them to add content to the new one? Bye the way, I see it was Neil2250 that has suggested the same thing as me, not you Wyn, so sorry to get you mixed up. I am not sure how anyone can get agreement on this issue as it has been going on for months already and there seem to be a lot of unhappy people, as well as me! Probably the best hope I have is for ArenaNet to add Keep to the explorable area name, then it would be clear cut for everyone perhaps? Arrowmaster 19:50, 26 May 2010 (UTC)
We have a precedent to preserve the IGN even if it doesn't make sense. I personally like Lion's arch keep as a name, but it's not consistent with the in game name for the area. Maybe it will change with a future update, but for now, it should be kept as is. Right now consensus for change probably will not happen.--Lania ElderfireUser Lania Elderfire pinkribbon.jpg 20:00, 26 May 2010 (UTC)
Arrowmaster, the Move tab at the top of the page allows you to rename a page (and keep all the edit history intact). That's how this was all done to consolidate the two separate pages that had been created before. I'm sorry if I came off as harsh, I know exactly how frustrating it can be to want something done on here but need to wait for consensus (it took 3 months of intense discussion to get consensus on the Guild page policy revamp that was done a couple years ago, and I had several instances of wanting to tear my hair out cuz it was taking so long. The best thing you can do, is just deal with the status quo, while you make the best arguments you can for the changes you want, but be willing to compromise when necessary. -- Wyn User Wynthyst sig icon2.png talk 20:26, 26 May 2010 (UTC)
Wyn. Sorry for my forgetfulness regarding the use of the Move tab (I should have thought of that, but I am rather rusty on Wiki editing!). As you perhaps realized, the way I was going about it was to create the new page with the same (copy and paste) content then use the "What Links here" toolbox item to edit all linked pages to correct the links to the new one. I did do the redirects first, realizing that I should avoid a double redirect from happening later and tried to be careful about how I did things, even if I stuffed up trying to do things too soon.
You did not come over as harsh to me either; I have great respect for your many contributions to the community and love what you have done with your user pages. I would never make negative personal remarks anyway, regardless of what anyone said. In spite of the normal problems, I think this Wiki is marvelous and have found it so useful myself that I want to contribute as best I can to help others. I am certainly willing to compromise and I am really not like Meloni... as hopefully you have seen from what I have written. Arrowmaster 21:00, 26 May 2010 (UTC)
Also, dont drag me into your shit pile. i know for a fact none of my mainspace GW1 sudgestions Ever get through, this doesent mean you can come along and cause a flame about something that just happened to be the same as me, in short, Dont drag me into your shit.--Neil2250 , Portal Jumper User Neil2250 sig icon6.png 21:08, 26 May 2010 (UTC)
lol Neil, you don't need any help getting into a pile of shit, you seem to be perfectly willing to jump in head first all by yourself! -- Wyn User Wynthyst sig icon2.png talk 21:23, 26 May 2010 (UTC)
Well Neil, I am sorry that you thought that agreeing with you was dragging you into a shit pile, lol. I have a lot of sympathy with Danika dealing with the Redemptors, as she spoke about them in The Count's Daughter - the same thing appears to be true when trying to get some wiki changes! I believe more in the SAS motto: "Who Dares, Wins" and play like that in gw (although more by stealth than Rambo). It did seem like this issue had been going on for months (although checking on the thread, the first post in the Move? thread was on 15th May). The good thing is that, like in-game Res shrines, there is a roll back (so I though I would try to do "Fait accompli" with everything changed quick and see if it would stick). Maybe Anet might change the area name and then perhaps we (or I) can start again?... lol. Arrowmaster 11:11, 27 May 2010 (UTC)

Lionguard collectors[edit]

Why are you naming the subpages different than the collector page? --JonTheMon 14:55, 10 July 2010 (UTC)

Rats, just noticed that I stuffed up! I meant to name the subpages Lionguard (Oppressor Weapons)/Collector1 through Lionguard (Oppressor Weapons)/Collector10, but put Collector instead of Oppressor, by mistake. Arrowmaster 21:47, 10 July 2010 (UTC)
