Copyright and the two wikis[edit]

(edit conflict) How can you possibly assert your article is from no copyrighted source when it's so obviously a straight cut-and-paste from GuildWiki? Do you not understand that it's a copyrighted source? One of the main reasons this wiki was started was because GuildWiki's copyright licence prohibits commercial reuse of their content. This restriction doesn't allow linking to them through the in-game help system. Hence, the issue with incompatible licenses. We cannot make straight copies of their pages without violating thier license.

If you wish to contribute articles on in-game scams, you are welcome to start them from scratch, using whatever research you wish. Just don't plagerize. --Valshia 19:25, 22 October 2007 (UTC)

Ok I am just stupid. I din't think that was a copywrighted material since it was observations from regular people about a game. So should I just delete it?Emteeskull 19:28, 22 October 2007 (UTC)
They are not "just observations from regular people about a game". They are content and notes written by users of GuildWiki. If you would like to add about scamming on this wiki, feel free to expand Scam, but please don't copy textual content directly. See GWW:COPYRIGHT for more details. Thanks. -- ab.er.rant sig 01:29, 26 October 2007 (UTC)
