Deletion

Hi, I have deleted all the pages and images you have requested, unfortunately policy dictates that your talk page must remain so this can not be deleted. Happy editing --Lemming 19:38, 14 September 2007 (UTC)

Could you provide a link to this policy? The only policy I can find governing deletion of pages is at Deletion Policy. I assumed that the policy regarding User Pages would apply to pages in the User_talk: section, as I can find nothing in the policy addressing Talk pages. The only content (prior to this discussion) on the page was a greeting from a member I otherwise had no contact with. It would be difficult to argue that the loss of this greeting on my user talk page would have a negative impact on this wiki.

Further investigation has discovered that a proposed policy change has been filed to address Talk pages at Article Retention. As of September 14, 2007, this policy does not have consensus. The existing policy on User Pages states that comments are not to be removed, but there is nothing to address removing the entire page.

I understand that this discussion may make the entire matter moot, but a response would be appreciated. -- JGouldie 20:18, 14 September 2007 (UTC)
