- While under the effect of this skill, attacks with a bow will deal armor-respecting fire damage to all foes in an area adjacent to the landing area of each shot arrow, before the arrow itself hits.
- The explosion occurs regardless of whether the arrow actually hits its target (even if it misses, strays or is blocked).
- Multiple-arrow attacks (Dual Shot, Forked Arrow, Triple Shot and Incendiary Arrows) will trigger an explosion for each arrow.
- The fact that the explosion triggers first is relevant for skills such as Reversal of Fortune or Reversal of Damage.
- Unlike Kindle Arrows, the damage type of the arrows is not converted to fire, thus it will not be enough to meet the condition of Conjure Flame's bonus damage.
- The explosion itself is not an attack. The damage will not be increased by effects increasing the damage of attacks such as modifiers on the bow or skills like Ursan Roar or "Together as One!". However it is increased by Ebon Battle Standard of Honor.
- The fire damage can be used to trigger burning on foes hexed with Mark of Rodgort.
