This sounds horrible, no offense. You're basically suggesting that players cannot attack Siege Turtles, or gate NPCs, meaning that in order to fight, Luxons must rely on the siege turtles to do anything until the Green Gate is down. Likewise, siege turtles and Luxon players can attack Gunther and the two Gatekeepers, but Kurzick players cannot kill the Siege Turtles in such a situation, meaning that the Luxons have endless 160 AoE enchantment removing damage every 13 seconds+any players in the spot at the time, while Kurzicks have 3 vital NPCs (2 being monks, 1 being a war - none of which which can repair gates while being attacked as well) to defend by the players. Not only would it practically mean that Luxons win all the time, but the Luxons will be doing nothing except camping (not capping, but camping) the mines - preventing kurzicks from gathering amber. This would break FA completely. -- Konig/talk 21:27, 8 May 2011 (UTC)
- Having turtles deal less damage and not remove enchantments (since enchant removal would be useless to combat non-existent bonding) seems like a simple enough extrapolation of my idea. You didn't really think I figured the current turtle attack (or the current ability of gate NPCs to defend against them) was fair, right? This was a skeleton of a suggestion when I posted it and I haven't bothered going back to it. --ஸ Kyoshi 22:50, 8 May 2011 (UTC)
- Having gate NPCs with better defense and lowering the turtle attack would also not work as it would expand the amount of time (thus the amount of doing nothing but camping mines for Luxons), turning the advantage from Luxons to Kurzicks with a slim chance to storm Gunthar. If you increase the time limit, it goes back to the original situation - the turtles are just less of an issue (but still a source of pressure that's impossible to be rid of). -- Konig/talk 23:06, 8 May 2011 (UTC)
- Yeah, I suppose. And besides that, it would really just be boring for most of the match, wouldn't it.
- Again, though, I posted this over a year ago, and it was a skeleton of an idea, and I haven't touched it since. --ஸ Kyoshi 00:42, 9 May 2011 (UTC)
