Skills that could potentially be fun[edit]
- Smiter's Boon: Was nerfed for good reason in PvP, yet for some reason it was left unchanged so that you could make characters that pack damage and other nice little things with huge AoE damage options while still providing somewhat decent healing in PvE. Pity that the AI won't recognise smites as a heal though, maybe Gift of Health can do something to help the problems that causes.
- Xinrae's Weapon: Same idea as the above really. Just takes up an elite slot as well. In fact I think this and Vengeful Weapon could be thoroughly abused by covering the entire party in it and watching enemies kill themselves, but alas, heroes just won't do it.
- Star Burst: Now has in the area AoE, returns energy, and heroes will use it effectively unlike the other OP one. Could even be run on secondaries now, thanks to the fact the skill was updated to return energy rather than munch more of the stuff.
- Mist Form: Same reasons as SB and Xinrae's. Damage dealing and healing on the same character, and party healing at that... but is it enough? Loss of elite slot may be too significant and throttle damage too much to be viable, and the healing surely can't be that amazing either.
- Echoes: You can have all the refrains on your entire party at once.
Things to run on secondaries[edit]
There are a number of skills that provide martial professions with huge quantities of energy that heroes just can't or won't use up doing normal things, so how about feeding them something else?
You could then slot on a few other things...?
- Signet of Clumsiness: A little poke (plus AoE) that heroes never miss with, but like Cry of Frustration they'll only use it on their target. Pity that you can't give those pesky wind riders a taste of their own medicine with CoF, or I'd give that a whirl.
- Gift of Health, Mend Body and Soul or Spirit Light: High healing with modest attribute investment.
- Reversal of Damage or Vengeful Weapon: Little prot/damage thing. Vengeful will conflict with Splinter though.
- Teinai's Crystals + Water Elementalist.
- Teinai's Wind: Does rather high damage if you were to add Seering Flooms or something.
- Wandering Eye: This thing is rather too powerful for 5e, but the cast time and hero usage might let it down.
