Absolutely. Raine doesn't have tofolow the guideline, if that's the case. But if you check the edit summary, you'll see my point. Noone should feel compelled to enforce nonexistant polices, and revert an edit they agree with. If the edit had been made bacuase Raine disagreed with the guideline, then there had been nothing for me to say. Any user can diverge from a guideline if they think the spesific case warrants it. One might consider common law to be a parallel. I'm not referring to the specific practice of linking only the first instance of each unique game term, but that there is an understood commitment to creating a body of work that, while emphasizing function, has a uniform and consistent style and feel. That though the nuances and implications can not be codified explicitly, de facto policy should be upheld until it ceases to be de facto policy. That is, either the body of work has changed sufficiently that practice is no longer accepted as 'standard', or members of the community make a purposeful case against it and obtain consensus.
