Render vs Screenshot

I would consider myself as a small contributor and there are many things that I still dont know about helping build the wiki community and I came to this page. While capping the elite I noticed the blue aura and realised the image I first saw wasnt exact. So I checked the image file and in its history found that a past screenshot was reverted (undo) to a Render.

So my question is why Renders are chosen over Screenshots? In my opinion Screenshots are more accurate than a "general" image. Yoshida Keiji 05:17, 10 November 2011 (UTC)
