Note that cases such as Gate Guard/Gate Guard (boss) are not included here. The Gate Guard boss is a different creature that has the proper name "Gate Guard" and not a boss version of a Gate Guard without proper name. MithTalk 13:25, 30 April 2010 (UTC)

Charr Prison Guard/Charr Prison Guard (boss) is another exception. Unlike other nameless bosses, he appears with no other NPCs named like him. He is The prison guard and players need to know that. As rule of thumb, only those bosses that have the same name as similar creatures appearing in the same area at the same time as them should be added here. MithTalk 13:31, 30 April 2010 (UTC)
