Are all these redirects needed? I thought Mediawiki automatically redirects if the capitalization isn't correct. — Eloc 06:36, 6 January 2008 (UTC)

Deletion[edit]

Given the recent update which now allows autredirects, all of these could go. Given their numbers, a bot run may be quite preferable. Backsword 17:47, 17 December 2008 (UTC)

"which now allows autoredirects" - How does it work now? poke | talk 17:56, 17 December 2008 (UTC)
(EC) I'm not sure how "recent" it was - MediaWiki has automatically fixed caps for pages with two-word titles for quite a while. Don't know if it works with the ones with quotes, though. And it doesn't work if the title is longer than two words, and only works for the first letter of each word. So, while Axe Attack doesn't need to redirect to Axe attack, Battle in the sewers does need to redirect to Battle in the Sewers, as mediawiki will only correct the first. Additionally, there's the issue of links to those redirects that would be deleted. ¬ Wizårdbõÿ777(talk) 17:57, 17 December 2008 (UTC)
And I tested with "battle of jahai" (which does not autoredirect you to Battle of Jahai) to confirm that three-word titles still don't autoredirect. ¬ Wizårdbõÿ777(talk) 18:01, 17 December 2008 (UTC)
That's not entirely correct, however some of those you mention does not work for me now. I still think articles should not link to redirects. Backsword 19:38, 17 December 2008 (UTC)
