player owned homes. i think it would be a good idea for players to have there own homes in say, a guild hall or a specific town. It would be like purchasing a guild hall in gw1 you just buy it and travel there buy hitting h.

you could also be able to select what home you want by ancestery, like krytans would get a range of krytan homes. but other characters would be able to access it and you could maintain up to 4 people inside.

this would also be good for player with out a pace to go, and it would be kind of cool for player to have there own slice of GW. :P

Sounds like you should make a suggestion! ThrainFile:User Thrain Sig.pngcontribs 18:46, 22 May 2010 (UTC)

Sylvari Visual Bloom[edit]

Rather than a new race concept, this is a small idea for Sylvari. Many people seem to want a beautiful looking race, yet to distance them from the "elven" stereotype. This has proven slightly difficult as the fact they have been redesigned showed. My idea is simply to "bring home" the fact that they are indeed plant orientated, regardless of how they look. Add a small mechanic that mimics a plant's reaction to sunlight and lack of it.

My proposition is that whenever a Sylvari is being played during the day, any flowers will open up. Additionally, the skin, any leaves, eyes will become slightly brighter than normal due to the sun's influence. At night however, the flowers will close and the colours of the Sylvari would become slightly paler due to lack of sun and influence of the moon and stars. This transformation would be very subtle and slow of course. It is meant to enhance the Sylvari and should only be noticeable in screenshots comparing them at the peak of the day and night. Vast colour changes are not what I'm proposing as that would ruin people's characters.

Note 1: This is indeed possible ingame as Ghostly Weapons are shown to glow blue at night.

Note 2: I'm not sure whether to suggest this for any "foliage heavy" Sylvari armours, as that could be too much? What do you think?

PS this is not my idea. I copied it from the Guild Wars 2 Guru, this is the idea of Helikaon.
