Renaming suggestions[edit]

How about:

  • Official historical texts (for this category)
  • Official historical text items (for what is currently called, category:Historical texts)

This emphasizes the fact that these are official (rather than merely opinion or gathered from clues elsewhere) and offers a naming convention that distinguishes things found in-game (items) and those not (the first cat). — Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 19:39, 21 July 2011 (UTC)

Personally I don't see much use for Category:Literature's sub-categories outside storybooks. So the proposed merge-ee could be deleted along with Category:Religious texts and the other categories, leaving only Category:Storybooks. This could then be moved to Historical texts and said category could be given new parent categories. Konig/talk 20:46, 21 July 2011 (UTC)
I'm good with fewer cats. — Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 21:12, 21 July 2011 (UTC)
I'm iffy on what to call this category, truth be told. We're using this one because it was already made and worked at the time as the articles were solely talking about past events, however this is no longer the case since War in Kryta. They are not historical anymore. I'd rather not use "Historical texts" as the category either for the same reason. "Official lore documents" or some such may be better, slap Category:Stories as a sub-category and the category of this being a sub-category of Category:Lore. Konig/talk 22:24, 21 July 2011 (UTC)
