Sort Key needed[edit]

Ummm ... we really need to revisit all of the skill icons and change the category tag from being

[[Category:Skill icons]]

To instead be

[[Category:Skill icons|{{PAGENAME}}]]

That would ignore the namespace in the category sorting. Otherwise, they all sort under "I" for image. --- Barek (talkcontribs) - 15:02, 14 March 2007 (EDT)

bot? -FireFox File:Firefoxav.png 15:04, 14 March 2007 (EDT)
I hope so ... but, I haven't seen anyone with a working bot on this wiki yet. The other option is a manual editing crusade. --- Barek (talkcontribs) - 15:07, 14 March 2007 (EDT)
Why is it needed? They are still sorted alphabetically, does it make a big difference having letter-headers separating them? — Anja 15:16, 14 March 2007 (EDT)
It helps searching for a specific link. I've added template:category-index which does nothing here, because everything starts with the letter "I" for image. Now compare that to Category:ArenaNet images, where the index at the top lets you easilly navigate to start with image names starting with an "N". The sort by pagename simplifies the navigation over needing to click "Next 200" multiple times. --- Barek (talkcontribs) - 15:23, 14 March 2007 (EDT)
I see :) I will start using that then, when categorizing. And possibly start the manual crusade, if no one wants to make a bot. — Anja 15:26, 14 March 2007 (EDT)
I've updated a large chunk of the skill icons. But that's all I have time to do for now. All of the ones with image names starting with A, B, C, D and E still need to be updated. --- Barek (talkcontribs) - 17:42, 14 March 2007 (EDT)
"A" finished. EDIT: and B — Anja 19:06, 14 March 2007 (EDT)
And now C & D are done - so that's all of them! --- Barek (talkcontribs) - 20:41, 14 March 2007 (EDT)
Well done. :) — Anja 20:41, 14 March 2007 (EDT)

Grey icons[edit]

Any plans to allow/upload grey skill icons as there are at Guild Wiki? They've got no use I can think of outside user pages, but for them they were handy to have around. --NieA7 04:34, 9 May 2007 (EDT)
