Having seen the stomp in video clips of PvP, it really just struck me as not fitting in. The concept of a finisher action is sound and all, but the stomp graphic and ececution seemed quite odd. And to me at least it stood out all the more glaringly when contrasted against what is at least in my opinion an eagerly awaited and possibly even flawless game. The slow-motion, exaggerated jump was really what got me. I understand the need for both a finisher move and for said move to take up so much time.
I propose a channeled finisher unique to each race. This would both meet the time requirement for the finisher and keep it in real time, removing the need for "slow-mo". I believe one finisher per race is sufficiently diverse for the game. For example: charr could crouch above a downed enemy and slash repeatedly with their claws, norn could pummel a target to death, sylvari could lash a target with a thorny vine, and so on. Each race specific action could not only be identifiable with each race but emphasise their uniqueness. Graphically speaking I am aware things like this might not be as feasible as a universal stomp move, so if that is the case simply making the stomp a real-time channeled action instead of a slow-mo drawn out leap execution would be recieved with much appreciation.
