Engineers are the forgotten profession of Guild Wars 2. They were originally implemented as a jack-of-all-trades, but in order to balance them, they are not equivalent in power to the other professions. Yes, an engineer can fulfill all roles, but they do so at a significant disadvantage. Currently, should the only changes be numerical, either they are on par with other professions, thus making them the best class by far because they're both equivalently powerful and versatile, or they can be below other professions, rendering them unplayable because the game rewards specialization, especially at the upper tiers of gameplay.

Problems[edit]

  • Turrets are unusable and underpowered
  • There is only one truly viable option in competitive gameplay for engineers: condition damage.
  • Will add more thoughts as I develop ideas

Proposed Fixes[edit]

Note: All values [damage/healing/etc.] are at L80; X represents whatever the variable scales with [for damage its (power*weapon strength)/armor]
