Suggestion:

This suggestion as name of thread already suggests has been made to give another name to GW2/Tyria currency and make it somewhat unique like this game deserves. Gold,silver platinum are not unique names for currency as almost every game uses it and they are boring.So I have made up new name and shape for currency in GW2.

Currency name:Tallyshek (comes from words tally and shekel which was unit for weight in ancient times)

Shape and material:Translucent Ice-crystal marbles
