Elementalists got a good buff and functionality change now. What they need however, is cross elemental skills and mechanics to give another depth of playing the elementalist, and taking them one step closer to the gw2 idea of small skill pool with each skill being given multiple roles depending on the tactical situation.

Status mechanics[edit]

Status mechanics work as the lead, off-hand, and dual attacks of assassins: fulfilling conditions for using certain skills, of acting as conditions for secondary effects, while having no negative effects on their own.

Water: Soak[edit]

Applied by water spells.

Earth: Mud[edit]

Applied by earth spells.

Air: Charged[edit]

Applied by air spells.

Fire: Heated[edit]

Applied by fire spells.
