I really enjoy doing Hearts Tasks, the system rewarding the player for helping NPCs really speaks to me. I also like how after a Heart is completed you get a letter from them and that NPC becomes a karma merchant.
In fact there is only one part of Heart system a find lacking. After a player completes a heart it essentially become locked. There is really no reason to do tasks for that NPC ever again. However many of the letters I have received of them sound open ended, like I could still help them if I wanted to.
I propose that upon completion of a heart that futher assisting that npc with heart tasks would reward the player with karma. Maybe giving the player 1 or 2 karma every time the player preforms a heart task for a completed heart.
