Feedback:User/Dealaka/Collectible Trader

So it's approaching Halloween in game, and people are starting to farm for collectibles. Great right? What happens if you have left over collectibles though? Merchant fodder of course. But...!

My idea is to have a vendor much like a material trader where you can either deposit the collectibles you have, or sell/buy collectibles based on what other people have sold. If a collectible is sold out, it's sold out until people sell it. I know, I can already hear some objections but here's the exceptions to some of these;

[Collectible Vendor]

  • Does not buy/sell items currently requested that day/week by the Hunter/Traveler.
  • Does not include items that require money, scrolls, or beating games to access.
  • Does not buy/sell items for current event collectors. Examples of this would be halloween/christmas/etc.
  • Not available at every location, typically only capitals.
  • Price dependent on rarity of drop, rather then demand.

The tabs at the top for items that are available are divided by profession, type of critter, and then level, possibly also with a search bar to search by name.

[Collectible Storage]

  • Does not include items that require money, scrolls, or beating games to access.
  • Not available at every location, typically only capitals.

Requires you buy the Xunlai chest upgrade for it. Four tabs, 1 for each of the games. Each tab requires gold to unlock. Only exists as a storage space for people who run out of space in their chests, so they don't need to create storage characters just to keep a bunch of collectibles they want.

[Preference] I think I prefer the idea of collectible storage to a collectible vendor, since you're still farming the items yourself or buying them. Provides another money sink for wealthy characters who want more storage. It might take time and money to actually upgrade the Xunlai chest again, but if successful has other possibilities it could lead to;

  • Accessory Storage (Chaos gloves/etc)
  • Mini-pet Storage
  • Event Mask Storage (for those that are dyed)
  • Weapon Modification Storage.
