Political System[edit]
- I actually had a very lengthy write-up of this for SWTOR, but unfortunately I didn't save it in a document and my posts have been archived between builds. I won't spend a lot of time on it as it is pretty fanciful, but could write a lot more on it if you liked.
- The guild promoter I found in the beta brought the political system back to mind and could be built on a similar concept.
- Expand the guild promotion to self-promotion as well, allow flagrant buying of NPC-favor through all manner of money sinks. IE fireworks shows, reduced vendor prices, carnivals, etc
- Possibly even create a mechanism to buy favor from other PC guilds so that your "banner" is advertised with them in a show of support.
- Significant accomplishments in the massive PvE or PvP events could award individual or guild titles and abilities that would benefit them in the quest for office or position on the server/city
- Support the power of the "political" offices and positions by expanding the concept of the field commander abilities to encompass a much larger hierarchy and abilities
- Create some story arch-points and world decisions (maybe even city-based) determined by "elected" officials or elite "houses" (read: guilds)
