Feedback:User/Edgestate/Live Direction of Mob Armies

GW2 is making a lot of the event system to replace the normal quests. It sounds great, but I'm a little worried that the AI behind it won't be entirely up to the challenge. So here's what I'm proposing: make a simplified, top-down interface available to ArenaNet staff, or possibly certain members of the fan community, which allows for ongoing battles between mob armies directed by real people.

For example, instead of just having a set sequence of events, say, a centaur horde attacks a city, then if they win, they set up a base, only to be driven back eventually, what if the centaur horde had a person directing it, in real time, trying to outwit the person directing the city guards, and maybe the rat horde as well. That way, there would be a never-repeating pattern of power re-alignment across the map.

Of course, you would need enough people willing to do this to make it work, but I think a number of hard-core fans would be eager to give up a few hours a week to direct an NPC army rather than their character.
