Crafting in GW2 is already leagues ahead of other MMOs. I think it could be further improved by adding an item creation queue. The crafting acceleration from making duplicates should be expanded so players can queue up different items and receive the same speed bonus. In my opinion, this is a playability improvement with no associated drawbacks. The current system is clearly geared to help reduce the time required to learn crafting, and this reduces it further.
