Character And Item Restoration Data-Backing System[edit]
I suggest that anet puts together a new system to specifically handle account data-backing. They currently have world data-backing and claim that due to policies they can't restore items or characters, however the way a data-backup works it contains all the information they just don't want to take the time to fix things due to hackers, scammers, and glitches etc. I think that all the Guild Wars players should unite and tell anet that they should make a new system so those who are hacked or scammed can get retribution. Anet already makes enough money from the guild wars store and it would not mean a monthly fee if done. This is not in the realm of impossible feats for them to actually make something for Guild Wars one that is actually very useful and helpful to all gamers. One of the biggest reasons Guild Wars one has fallen off the map is because of hackers and players not wanting to play because they lost most if not all of their items. Please let anet know how you feel and voice your oppinion on this matter, let them know you want this change so that we can be hard pressed for Guild Wars Two. On a side-note I know most of you are going to blame the kids that got hacked or say that Guild Wars Two is almost here and why fix the first? Guild Wars one I imagine will still be played and maybe even more so after Guild Wars Two so others can go back and do things they didn't. New players will be brought into Guild Wars one and two and if we want to keep them I think having reassurance of their virtual property is a good start. To know that no matter what anet will have your back is a good feeling. Not all gamers are super smart and some might be trusting of friends etc. and I get where that might make one think "well the shouldn't have given their stuff out" but at the same time I don't think it should matter. No matter who you are you should be able to have security in a game. So join me in my fight to have this system implemented. I thank you for your time.
