Propose Suggestion[edit]

I noticed that the guilds has no rule in 'guild wars' persistent wolrd. Therefor, I suggest make the guilds role in the persistent world like individual players do.

Technical Detail. [edit]

  • roles of guilds.
    • As a business organ like a modern company.
      • The guilds make products and provide them to the market.
      • To make product, they secure resources and their production site. And they battle each oterh to secure them.
      • Some guilds can provide services not just prducts. For example, A guild can protect products carrying to market from other rival or thief guidls.

    • As a governing organ of a city.
      • Every city has governing organs like police, army, city planner and budget/tax planner.
      • If a guild contributed to a city enough, they can be candidate of a governing organ. And during electon campaign it can be selected by citizens(players).
      • Every governing organ has its role and rights to force others to do something. With those rights they can provide services to citizens or disturb rival guilds. But too much abusing the rights, it can not be selected at next election.
      • Examples of organs.
        • police: Arrest criminals or rival guild member using physical public power and state punishment with a fine. Or just let thieves rob rival guilds freely.
        • army: Declair war against enemy or enemy city. And tax or draft citizens or guilds for the war.
        • city planner: allow citizens, guild to build something or not. And tax them for city planning.
        • budget/tax planner: This organ adjust consumtoion tax, import duty and commercial activities tax. And they plan other organs budget.

Method of Implementing. [edit]

  • Provide simple menus that people can choose or condition triggers.
  • Some decisions should be made by majority vote. So provide email-like decision system and make participants reply by cetain duration of time.
