Ideas for a skill rework[edit]

-1 Upkeep10 Energy1 Activation time15 Recharge time Elite Enchantment Spell. While you maintain this enchantment, 5...25...30% of damage taken by target ally is converted into healing. This enchantment ends if target ally falls below 50% maximum health.

A maintainable version of the current mark of protection, only with the healing power lowered greatly. Great to use on tanks, if SF gets nerfed I suppose. This is slightly similar to life barrier, considering the <50% loss, however this is slightly more usable.


5 Energy1 Activation time20 Recharge time Elite Enchantment Spell. For 5 seconds, Whenever target ally takes damage, 8...34...40% of that damage is converted into healing. This skill is reapplied if target ally is not under the effects of any other enchantments when it ends.

I was thinking of an enchantment that would reapply itself, but keeping more to mark of protections current form. The condition that the target must not be enchanted in order for the skill to reapply discourages the user to simply stack enchantments on an ally to protect them. Whilst being slightly more powerful than it's previous form, it would still require some thinking to use.


10 Energy1 Activation time20 Recharge time Elite Enchantment Spell. For 2...10...12 seconds, Whenever any party member within earshot takes damage, 5...25...30% of that damage is converted into healing. This enchantment ends prematurely if these allies become the target of another Protection Prayers enchantment.

I was thinking of a party based skill. These are normally difficult to balance, but unlike skills like Heal Party I have limited this skill to earshot range. Also like the previous suggestion, this discourages heavy enchantment stacking on an ally, however this is only limited to Protection Prayers.
