It's pretty amazing how if you leave an overpowered skill overpowered for so long, people actually forget how overpowered it is.

The (obvious problem)[edit]

Aside from the fact a scythe simply hitting more than 1 person can cause havok, Wounding Strike simply sticks 2 fingers up at balanace then goes to give power creep a big hug thanking it for what it has done. Deep Wound is amazing, it aside from Daze in very situational circumstances the best condition in the game, it takes 100 health off of your opponent and makes them recieve 20% less healing, potent shit right there. But Deep Wound was also amazing because the skills that caused it usually had big draw backs (like the current Pious Assault), or used Adrenaline meaning spaming it was hard. But with Wounding Strike, we have this, different circumstance. When you are enchanted, and you use this skill, you inflict Deep Wound, covered by another condition (Bleeding), for a cheap cost of 5 energy, amazing! "How long until you can use it again is that? 3 seconds..."

I think you saw the little snag there, 3 seconds is pretty much the time it takes for you to run to your next opponent, and use the skills again, repeat this over and over, AND OVER. This skill with a 3 second recharge is very overpowered, so what to do.

Potential Changes[edit]

Energy[edit]

This shit costs 5 energy, cheap as chips, as cheap as it gets. Along with Mysticism you will never run out of energy spamming this, so maybe an answer lies in increasing the energy cost to 10? At 10 energy, this makes playing the Dervish Wounding Strike build HARDER, but still in no way impossible, it is probable to say people will simply take Lyssa's Assault along with the bogstandard Attacker's Insight. In short, increasing the energy cost is not fixing the problem.

Recharge[edit]

This shit recharges in 3 seconds, that's crazy stuff, so surely increasing the recharge is the way forward, well sort of. If the recharge was increased to 6 or 8, the skill wouldn't be AS imbalanced but here's the thing, it still does the same thing just less often. If you want the easy way out, do this, if you want to actually do something constructive, change the actual skill, and what it does. I can't think of anything ATM but we have a test krewe and wonderful balancers so go go go.
