- Downed State*
Going along with how GW2 is following an epic theme, it seems odd to me that a player needs to somehow kill someone else to revive from a downed state. It would seem much more plausible that a player that is downed if left alone long enough would revive rather just seeing another player die and suddenly reviving. In fact I'm trying to figure out how seeing someone die somehow would give me a boost to revive if I've been downed? Since any class can resurrect, this makes battles much more difficult to win especially if you have players constantly going in and out of downed state. I can understand fighting and if you manage to kill another player then of course you don't have anyone interfering with you reviving from your downed state, that would make sense.
- Dodge in downed state*
This seemed obvious to me. In every movie I've watched where you have a hero who is knocked down or injured to the point where they fall down and an enemy is overhead about to kill them with a single blow. What does the hero do? Well in a few martial arts flicks you might see the hero suddenly perform a massive attack and hop back into the fight. But in most cases the hero performs an epic last minute dodge. With the dodge mechanic already implemented is just seems odd to me that a player can't dodge while downed. Top that off with the odd way of reviving from a downed state, and maybe you can see my problem with the downed state.
