New Wintersday Quest I am sure there are hundreds of these every day, but I thought of this idea and figured I would send it in. If nothing else it never hurts to try, right? I thought a very simple "Decorate the Tree" quest for Wintersday might tie in nicely. Given the War in Kryta it could be in any town or outpost that was under oppression of the White Mantle. I thought something along the lines of this:

Quest[edit]

Assist the citizens of (outpost) decorate their Wintersday tree by obtaining the following items:

1 Retrieve 5 piles of glittering dust from (optional).
2 Retrieve 6 Votive Candles from Necromancer Munne in Sardelac Sanitarium.
3 Retrieve 4 Red Iris Flowers from Gwen's Garden. (Would require multiple trips).
4 Retrieve 5 glowing hearts from North Kryta Provice.

Reward[edit]

1,000 Experience 1,000 Gold 10 Candycane Shards

Quest Dialogue[edit]

1 NPC - "Given the hardships endured this year under the opression of the White Mantle, we wanted to do something special for the citizens of (outpost) to make Wintersday extra special. Therefore, we had this special tree brought in all the way from the Northern Shiverpeaks to add a little extra holiday cheer. The problem is we used most of our crafting materials for weapons against the mantel. Given you travels and experience (character name) could you help collect some materials to make decorations?

Quest Options-

Yes - "Of course! It's the season of giving!"

No - "I know what you can do with your tree...."

Completion Dialogue and Events[edit]

There would be an undecorated tree in the chosen location that on Wintersday would appear decorated with the items. NPC dialogue after completion would instruct the character to return on Wintersday to view the lighted tree. NPC "Thank you, our artisans will get to work on crafting ornaments right away!"

Wintersday Dialogue[edit]

On Wintersday, upon clicking on the NPC that gave the quest, the following dialogue would appear: The NPC dialogue - Thank you for helping make this Wintersday one to remember (Character Name)." NPC ART "The little lights aren't twinkling." NPC: "I know Art. And thanks for noticing" (Pop culture reference to National Lampoons Christmas Vacation.)

Conclusion[edit]

I look forward to everyones suggestions and hope that I have submitted this page correctly. Thank you in advance for your comments and patience.
