Feedback:User/Greep/Remove Up-Sidekick for dungeons

Before seeing the videos and interviews, I thought sidekicking as a whole wasn't a good idea, but then I slowly realised just how gw2 was going to work and I now know why it's necessary. I mean, if a giant 7-headed chicken is attacking the docks, it'd be awful if your friends missed out on that event for a very long time, possibly forever for the less active.

However, allowing sidekicking to a higher level absolutely everywhere removes any real sense of a "level", and a lot of players, me included to some extent, really like that sense of accomplishment and opening up of the world that leveling gives. You say you want all types of players to be represented with this game, and bringing a sense of quality to a level would make a lot of players happy. Therefore, dungeons should be the one place for this leveling barrier for a number of reasons.

A) Dungeons aren't going anywhere. That 7 headed chicken might be a rare event, but with a flat leveling curve, even the most casual of players will eventually get to that dungeon.

B) Dungeons are relatively small compared to the event system. It's not like you need to grind to get content that matters. From the look of the event system, it will make up the meat of the game. Since dungeons are already for the hardcore, being instanced and very difficult, there's no reason they shouldn't also have a soft level requirement.

I wouldn't be very dissapointed if sidekicking remained for dungeons, but I think it makes dungeons lose their sense of difficulty.
