Feedback:User/Greep/The Abberant (A flexible profession)

This proposed class is a mesmer-like class designed to be flexible for all kinds of possibilities. In fact it's own weapon, the spell sword, is a ranged weapon using both attack skills and attack spells (count as a spell not an attack). While underpowered on it's own, it has great amounts of utility. Lastly it introduces a new form of spell: A fluctaution. Fluctuations act as hexes when cast on enemies, and enchantments when cast on allies. E.g. a fluctaution on an enemy would be removed with hex removal, on an ally enchant removal. For purposes of what type of spell was cast, they count as both an enchantment and a hex. Many of the Abberant's non-fluctuation spells target any player as well.

Attributes[edit]

MetaMagic (primary): For every rank in MetaMagic, your fluctuations recharge (TBA)% quicker.

Spell-Sword Mastery: For every rank in Spell-Sword Mastery your Spell sword increases it's range and does more damage.

Obfuscations: you get the idea.

Twisted Casting: yadda yadda

Example skills (rough drafts)[edit]

If target is unspecified, it can target a foe or ally.

(MetaMagic)[edit]

Haste Makes Waste (fluctuation): For X seconds target casts spells 50% faster but uses 50% more energy.

Arrogant Discipline (MetaMagic spell): Target's current stance lasts X seconds longer, and his other stances are disabled.

Do or Die (MetaMagic spell): 1/4 cast If target was using a skill, that target gains X energy. Otherwise target loses X energy.

Eager Casting (Elite fluctuation): For X seconds, target casts spells for X less energy. If target does not cast a spell every 5 seconds, Eager Casting ends prematurely and target is knocked down for X seconds.

(Spell Sword)[edit]

Extended Reach (attack skill): Spell Sword's range is double but does X less damage.

Healing Swipe (attack spell): Target is healed for X.

Furious Slash (Elite attack skill): (uses adrenaline). All of your non-attack skills are disabled for X seconds. If this attack hits, you deal +X damage. Otherwise you gain X adrenaline and X energy.

Draining Stab (Elite attack spell): If Draining stab hits, it deals no damage and you steal X energy.

Lightning Strike (attack spell): Deals X lightning damage.

(Obfuscations)[edit]

Whoops! (Elite spell). 1/4 cast If Target foe's current spell is a hex, it instead targets himself.

Where's my keys... (spell). Target is knocked down but gains X energy.

Almost done! (spell) 1/4 cast. Target foe's current spell takes an additional X seconds to cast.

Not anymore it's not! (spell) Remove target's enchantment. You gain that enchantment.

Just Kidding! (interrupt). (low recharge) Interrupt target foe's spell. That spell recharges instantly.

Wild Casting (Elite fluctuation). For X seconds, target casts spells at random cast times (1/4 to 5) and energy costs (5 to 25).

You can't catch me! (spell) Shadow step to a random location within earshot.

I was just practicing! (fluctuation). Target's next attack skill fails but causes X adrenaline gain.

Redistribution of Wealth (spell) If target has less than 50% energy, target gains X energy, otherwise target loses X energy. Additionally, if target has less then 50% health, target gains X health, otherwise target loses x health.

(Twisted magic)[edit]

Consuming ambition (fluctuation). Target's next skill recharges instantly, but target sacrifices 10% life. This spell costs X less energy.

Reckless rage (enchantment): For X seconds you gain double adrenaline but cannot use adrenal skills.

Procrastination (elite skill): All your skills are disabled for X seconds. When procrastination ends, all your skills are recharged except Procrastination.
