- My suggestion is specifically geared towards the Jade Sea and Echovald Forest areas where faction is rewarded for kills upon receiving the Luxon/Kurzick blessing. Currently the faction reward is based on normal/hard mode with a bonus in hm for a vanquish. Also shrine bounties usually depend on the faction that controls the area, however, the bonus is fixed. Jade Sea = Luxon and Echovald = Kurzick no matter the controlling faction.
- Case in point (this happened to me last night) I joined a pug in Gyala Hatchery and we set off to complete a Zaishen vanquish of Maishang Hills (all under Kurzick control) whilst most of the group picked up the shrine bounty outside Gyala (Luxon) I waited till we were outside Eredon Terrace to pick up the shrine bounty (Kurzick) I missed out on a few kills and a boss but hey thems the breaks. We completed the vanquish and headed off individually to pick up the Zaishen reward. I picked up the reward and headed to the guild hall to hand in my hard earned faction. LOL, now the faction rewards npc wont deal with me. Whilst I earned several thousand Kurzick faction, the bonus for a vanquish was Luxon and the Zaishen reward was also Luxon, giving me twice as much Luxon faction as I had Kurzick. I cant hand in the Kurzick because I have more Luxon and if I hand in the Luxon I lose all my Kurzick. Part of this is my own carelessness in watching what faction I gained as a bonus and rusing to collect the ZV reward, but I thought how ridiculous this was and how many others have encountered the same problem.
- I feel the rewards should all be based on which shrine you get the bounty from whatever faction that maybe. The shifting tide of battle alters shrine bounties as they are captured (currently in effect) but also the bonus for a vanquish of that same area should be based on the same value. After all why do shrine bounties change with the tide of the war, because no matter who is in control Luxon or Kurzick, they want the area kept safe (ie cleared of foes) and so should the bonus reward reflect who your vanquishing for too. This will also provide added encouragement for players to take part in alliance battles, control of shrines (via the boundary line) will open up vanquishing for players who may be put off by the current odd state of affairs where you can be rewarded by both sides and lose out possibly because of it.
- The same could be said for any Zaishen rewards, a vanquish is rewarded by the faction you fight for, similar to Zaishen Combat rewards the faction could be rewarded in Luxon and Kurzick, when you spend it the points of the opposing faction will be lost anyway and should you vanquish in an area without a shrine bounty of your allegiance you are more than likely collecting faction for the opposing faction title, not your guild.
