I have limited gameplay experience and this idea may be already included but I'd like to throw it out there anyway.
I participated in a few of the Queensdale and Kessex Hills events and although I had fun I had less fun in a "zerg". I was thinking about a way to split up a large group and thought that having two obtainable objectives during a larger event could split the group up and make repeating the event a different experience the second time around.
For example in Events where we need to defend (or retake a point) if certain circumstances are met (a number of players involved) that an NPC could suggest that a divide and conquer method may work. This would require communication and cordination from the group to split up, have say 65% of the group work at keeping/taking the point while the rest of the original group went of to harass or take an enemy hold while it is less guarded. It would be interesting if this tactic would rally the attacking forces into pushing harder towards their objective and require the minority of the group to rush back after taking /failing their own objective or if the opposite happens and the enemy attackers retreat to try and save their original point and have the Defenders chase them down in a finishing move.
This of course wouldn't work in all situations and it would only be an option if the Players group is large enough but I think it would be a fun way to mix things up.
