Feedback:User/I approve this pwn/Add immersion and visceralness

  • To add more immersion and viscreralness.
    • Make skills actually affect what the player sees on screen, for instance, when the player is blind he/she has actually limited vision with partial vision loss (some things may disappear or fade in and out slightly but he/she may still see their skills' effect etc). A Lightning flash can totally whiten the screen for a sec and fade back to normal. This a first person shooter effect that may also be incorporated to add immersion. There are more i'm sure that can be added or elaborated on. Beverages in gw1 had some effects too but during combat this could make combat more visceral. Some of the effects could have large affects on objects on screen but minor effects on the overall screen. There can be an effect where you are cloaked and cannot see friendlies or foes and they can't see you but you can see the effects of their skills and they can see yours. Because The Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion had FPS Perspective in gameplay, it had this mechanic and sort of effect too if I remember correctly. A Necromancers screen can flash a green tint when it enters the death shroud. An Elementalist can flash colors corresponding to attunements. And so on. Full screen effects can add lots to the game.
  • The Penalty box.
    • Oh, for temporary banned accounts or other penilizations, a way to penilized them could be to allow them to only play in sanctioned areas like arenas or cages where they are penilized with various things like -death penalties, health, energy, armor etc, with permanent cripple where they must fight each other and waves of foes in order to reduce penalties. Their skill could be changed or limited also. There would be friendly and self damaging fire in these areas. Other non-penalized players can throw things at them like low damage rocks and explosive objects and weak health and energy items that they only need to touch to gain. Outside players could vote for or trigger traps and other various dangers to enhance their entertainment. It's just a practice it punishment, sadism, demoralization, deterrence, humor, and a little entertainment. What the Romans enjoyed.
  • Enslavement and the slave master.
    • A penalty for players could be that have to be slaves/minion of other players. Which entails that must follow the other players and whatever else being a slave/minion entails. Certain players would have to obtain slave mastership by some means yet specified in order to be slave/minion masters (necros in themselves don't count).
  • Guild powers.
    • Have various descending chains of powers allowed to ranks of guilds.
      • Allow larger and higher ranking guilds to uphold, maintain and protect designated numbers of varying type of resources (towns, outposts, natural resource areas, bars, activity facilities, etc).
      • Guilds may employ npcs/other guilds to assist in these activities.
      • Guilds may be allowed to upgrade the resource itself and its protection.
      • They may be required to supply the resources with supplies like tradable items, arms, goods etc as a maintenance requirement per resource.
      • Resources may be taxed/tarrifed as an extra source of revenue/benefit for the guilds.
    • Delegation of powers for the guilds and guild members.
