Feedback:User/I approve this pwn/Mount/Vehicle Quests

From Guild Wars Wiki
Jump to navigationJump to search
  • Have Mount/Vehicle based quests/events where objectives require mount/vehicle usage for traveling, traversing, transporting, racing, collecting, persuing, etc.
  • Have dynamic renowned heart npcs that may appear following events or be dynamic alone themselves.
  • Have dynamic events that build upon the world and allow it to flourish and be enriched or to create destruction, havoc, mayhem and tyranny among its inhabitants.
  • Have more memorable and like-able character and more interesting stories (reviewers have hinted at this).
  • Give extra bonuses or other assistance to assist servers that are losing badly in WvW to help keep things balanced and to help ease new players into this game mode.
  • Have low and high player-limit maps for pvp, wvw and dungeons, and add more for the more popular ones. (and high roller no limit ones lol)
  • Add more servers instead of overflow servers and combine low population servers monthly if necessary(temporarily if needed).
  • Allow top ranking WvW and PvP servers to be bought by other servers if they want to become trade-able players(like players in a sports team). Players can get gold and other incentives for going to other servers.
  • Have a conjured weapon that is casted out to fly around spinning and causing damage and other affects before it drops to become usable by other players.
  • Have air combat zones similar to underwater combat but with aerial environments and aerial mechanics instead etc...with air mounts too. Light aerial combat to start with and then go on from there.
  • People like to build and create things, so tools and such to facilitate that would be great.
  • Have puzzles and gameplay that requires picking up things like blocks and objects to do things like reveal hidden objects or create a pathway etc.
  • Be able to sit on chairs.
  • Be able to create and design your own mount\vehicle.
  • Be able to craft recipes/designs/etc that are variations of known ones. Example double cheese burger plus curly chilly cheese fries instead of basic hamburger and fries.
  • Apply mini-game mechanics and gameplay to the persistant world like wall climbing games, boxing games, racing, dancing, sports etc and also to dynamic events, renowned hearts.
  • Add tower defense zones to the persistent world where the environmnent defends against players and the other way around too.
  • Add WvW objects and gameplay to the persistent world.
  • Have overflow server wins and loses count towards server overall ranks etc. Have overflow servers stay more constant and adjust on a daily rate instead of when moving to new areas. Give overflow servers numbers or designations. Create overflow servers that for all areas when a player is in a overflow server, example, player goes into overflow sub-server 1 in lions arch then goes to overflow sub-server 1 WvW so that players are not constantly moving back and forth between servers when changing areas.
  • Have bosses and other foes that take a long amount time to defeat drop light amounts of loot while it is being fought to encourage players to keep fighting it and for other players to join in to even get small amounts of loot even if they won't be around to defeat the foe.
  • Have a skill that pushes or launches a foe in any direction that they are moving, and one that goes in the opposite direction. Have one that pushes and one that pulls. Have one that acts on the skill user and one that acts on both the user and foe(s).
  • Have a skill that moves the foe to the left or right of the player.
  • Have a trait that replaces knock downs with launches. Have other traits that does different replacements too.
  • Have a skill that pulls surrounding foes to a targetand one that pushes away.
  • Have foes that have protected areas(like plating and shell armor) and target-able sections.
  • Have weight description for all creatures and have the weight affect movement and movement skills and other relevant things.
  • Have an option when buying items from merchants to only view items of your profession.
  • Be able to buy, sell, deposit, repair, do anything you need to do that NPCs will allow you to do at anytime but at a cost or higher cost than when going to an NPC to do it. This makes performing each task much more convenient at a cost which can be waiver-ed when speaking to an NPC instead, which makes NPCs still viable in the game.
  • When switching weapons; heals, utility, and elite skills should switch to a second set too to match with the weapons being used.
  • If the number if skills usable during combat is less limited, then make each switch of the skill bar fill up with skills of that type of bar. For example, sword skill bar fills up 10 skills for a sword, health skill bar fills up with possibly 10 health skills, utility skill bar fills up with 10 utility skills, and elite skill bar fills up with 10 elites (with limits on usage like only one can be used at a time etc). icons can be put on the user interface to easily access each set.
  • In WvW allow portals to be created on any captured point to create a front line of defense for the server. Like a RTS base building style of gameplay, allow players to build buildings to collect resources and have resources in the area for players to gather to build weapons, structures and defenses etc. Think of any RTS game out there. Have WvW like a RTS but with 100s of players collectively building, collecting, upgrading, defending and coordinating attacks, etc, at the same time. Also, capture points need a number or unique designation to them for players to identify which is which. For example, tower 1 green instead of just tower. This would make find the tower being attacked a lot easier when a player is referring to that tower being attacked.
  • More super-sized bosses in the low level areas.
  • Have a skill that shoots a laser beam for a few seconds at a foe and knocks it back every second or two as long as the beam is still continually firing.
  • When jumping forward, the player should not be able to pull back mid-jump. Not physically normal. Light jump or strong jump without mid-air reverse motion would be more normal in a world with physics and gravity.
  • When mousing over an item with your cursor, show quantity of item you have of it. E.g. mouse over crafting materials of iron would show how much iron your character has etc.
  • Have item compacting option in bank pane like in bag storage pane.
  • Have option to auto try all possible combinations to create new items in crafting.
  • Be able to collect bought items without having to go to a trading post.
  • Have combos and combo fields not only enhance and modify damage but enhance or modify other affects like knockdown time, launch distance, stun time, etc.
  • WvW - Have a side info box appear when a player is near a server captured point and show what is built or the progress of things on the site.
  • WvW - Have more info shown to players about each control point like what has been upgraded or built on the sites, how much supply is available, how many siege weapons are available etc.
  • Guilds needs to have a roster with 'last time logged on' indicator to view activeness or lack there of of their members in order to remove non-active members.
  • Have an option to adjust the transparency of the UI to add increased immersion yet still be playable.

  • Guild Wars 2 Forum needs a few modification and new forum moderators(specifically the suggestions forum moderator). My game comments and suggestions are getting deleted left and right there(very unnecessarily at that). This is very counter-guild wars 2 community building-ish. This does not reflect on Anet very well either to the player base using and reading the forums. It has a very censored and overly unnecessarily restrictive environmental feeling to it, which creates a horrible representation for anet in general. Forums can be very personal and can be a constructive place for players to express themselves while not playing the game, so it is very important put the proper care and attention into it. It also creates a sense of community for players so that shouldn't be looked over either. Anyways with the rant and criticisms etc, here's some suggestions. These anonymous moderators need to be a part of this forum with forum names and publicly addressing problems when they occur and publicly stating reasons for censoring it, like any respectable public forum online. A possible in forum profanity filter could be added for content filtering purposes, much like in the game. The forums chat environment should feel very much like the in-games one. Players should not feel intimidated or overly watched and interfered with by big brother moderator (you know what I mean when you chat in a game or forum etc)... player moderators and super moderators would be great too. That would probably build a great community to the game also (count me in as a light game forum moderator lol :-) with some 'light' administrator privileges lol :-) hehe). Maybe mirror forum privileges to those of the wiki's privileges etc...who knows.. Anyways, that looks like some suggestions for now and happy thanksgiving everyone! See you guys in game! (whatever characters you may be) Enjoy your gaming!
  • The Forum code of conduct looks a little too overly prohibitive and could use some revising to lax the guidelines a little bit. Some guide lines to be agreed upon like "Read the forum before asking a question." seems exhaustive and unnecessary to clauses for unnecessary actions. Some more examples: Do not debate Customer Support decisions or actions. Threads or posts designed to announce, appeal, or contest your own or another player’s suspension or account termination—be it forum or game account—will be removed without notice. Do not post petitions, “I demand an answer” threads, conspiracy threads, or comments about circumventing the rules. Do not post on behalf of a suspended or banned user. Use the search function before posting. Do not post in all capital letters; do not use “leetspeek,” excessive punctuation, colored text, alternating lower case and capital letters, etc. Please refrain from these and other similar attention-seeking tactics to draw attention to your post. Let your post stand on its own merits. Do not spam. This includes bumping threads or making posts that lack content. Do not engage in staff call-outs. Using the words “ArenaNet” or any staff member’s name will not expedite the answer to your query. Do not submit “trolling” posts or threads. We define “trolling” as commenting in a manner intended to elicit overly strong negative and emotional responses for mere shock value, attempting to derail threads, persistently posting off-topic, or engaging in personal attacks on another forum member. Accounts made with the sole intent to “troll” will be terminated.
  • Have user made polls in the forums.
  • Have a mobile version of the gw2 website and the forum too.
