Feedback:User/Kiomadoushi/Air Attunement Skills

A tornado just hit near my home, and looking at the sheer destructive power of air, it hit me: elementalist air attunement skills are more about lightning (which is actually an air element subtype, not air element itself, learn your magicks) than the air itself.

Skill Changes[edit]

Lightning Skills[edit]

There's certainly a lot of decent lightning skills already, such as Chain Lightning, Lightning Storm, and Ride the Lightning. These skills shouldn't go away; perhaps some of these lightning-based weapon skills should become utilities.

Wind Skills[edit]

Air, when focused, can be incredibly sharp and super-strong. Air can cut through things with sharp focused blades of wind, as well as push, pull, and toss around objects with immense weight. If Air Attunement gave some weapon skills based around these powerful aspects of focused wind, including the ability to toss a small area with a burst of wind from beneath their feet, or charge-channelling a skill like gust to increase its damage and knockback power, it would actually feel like air attunement instead of just lightning attunement. Where's the air in the current set? In the Tornado elite.

New Skills?[edit]

Discuss this at your will, including your own suggestions for such.

  • Wind blades that shoot out quickly (channel), as a speedy homing projectile that can cause bleeding on crits (with a trait)
  • Blasts of air that hit multiple targets in a line (as opposed to 1 target), with knockback on crits (maybe with a trait)
  • Ranged skill affecting small target-able area that can launch foes, or charged skill around caster that increases area of effect with charge.

Most of these, I discussed with my boyfriend to find what gives them reason to use them over other elements (or to at least compete).
