If the producers of Guild Wars 2 had more money, they could make the game more incredible and more easily maintain the game.
However, I don't think that anybody wants to end up charging towards a dragon, only to have a pop-up about baby perfume (unless they can figure out a way to give you a free sample through the computer).
My suggestion is to have carefully screened advertisements in-game. Imagine rushing to the nearest dynamic event, and stopping in the nearest McDonald's to get a cheeseburger which grants you a minor health regeneration boost for the next 10 min. Or you could pay a few bronze to a lizard to insure your HAZMAT suit you just bought, so if you die in the next 10 min, your next suit is half off. Obviously, we wouldn't want too much of this, but, in small amounts, it could be tremendously humorous and beneficial.
