Feedback:User/Kormon Balser/Death Penalty Reduction

It has been mentioned that the death penalty in GW2 will be reduced. In GW1, there were two ways to get rid of dp without using cons: lose 1% per 75xp, or go into a town. These methods might not work in GW2, provided the dp removal mechanism is similar to that of GW1, because it will be mostly persistent, and a person may get "trapped" in an area with monsters that are too high of a level (or too low to provide xp) to attempt killing to work off dp (or if better tactics can't be used).

If this problem is not already solved, then I recommend that a formula be established where (for the GW1 equivalent) 1% dp is lost per 75xp (provided the xp is scaled along with you when you enter a zone designed for a different level player) and 1% is lost per minute, or 5 minutes, or whatever works best. This way, if some players get into a tricky spot and are unable to remove dp (probably more of a problem in dungeons), they can wait, and as they wait or kill monsters (or both), they will lose dp.
