With the increased attention to both visual and audio effects for skill usage, the possibility of deceptive visual and audio effects becomes a possibility. When an Elementalist cast Water Trident it looks like a Water Trident. But what if it were possible to cast Water Trident, and have it not look or sound like Water Trident, until it hits the target and knocks them down in a big splash of water? What if your character could cast a spell that appears to be targeted at one character/area, but actually goes off in another area or hits another target?
This sounds like a perfect idea for the Mesmer, or a Mesmer derivative (something that evolved between GW1 and GW2 in the timeline). There needs to be a trade off to disguising spells such as increased energy cost, reduced casting time, or even easier to interrupt. I like the idea of having the skills necessary to disguise a casting be related to the main-hand weapon and off-hand focus item (visual, target, and audio can all be separate items). And perhaps the skills that allow for disguise casting can be activated, much like a Mesmer Mantra.
