Ranger spirits take too long to put up, die too easily, and generally have little (to no) useful effect. Really, they're nothing more than something to distract my heroes into aggro'ing mobs, and an occasional "that must die" in pvp. I'm not sure what the answer is, but there needs to be a change to make them useful (same with ranger traps in pve, but that should be another topic).

Ritualist spirits however have the opposite problem. They tend to be way too easy to create (resulting in seven spirits in five seconds), have good/balanced effects, and are just tough enough to be troublesome to take down. Being able to effectively screen enemy attacks while dealing out damage while leaving the character free to pursue other spells/skills/tactics is a little overpowering (classic rts turret problem).
