The Battle of Jormag[edit]
Jormag is the infamous Elder Dragon the Norn fought, and failed to defeat. My proposition, is a new mission/instance/event (I am not sure what type of event because of the lack of Elder Dragon event information)for fighting the dragon. In this event, a certain amount of players have to sign up for a boat ride to Jormag's territory. When the mininum is reached, the game loads an instanced area. The players are all on a big viking-style ship. The wind is hollow, and the view is foggy and mysterious. There are NPC Norn warriors on the ship as well. One of them, the lead, says something about how he can't see a thing. Suddenly, Jormag the dragon comes out of the water on the top left at super fast and loud speed. He goes really high, and then with gravity, comes crashing down near the boat into the water. The ship shakes, and the knockdown effect is put on all the players (the ship shaking and knockdown will happen every time Jormag gets too close. Perhaps this could be one of Jormags skills?). There is a certain chance that an NPC or player may fall overboard from the ship. When this happens, a player on the ship has a certain time limit to reel the player in with a rope before he dies (sort of like reviving a player). Players must use their powers to defeat the dragon. The long range players can use their magic, bows, or guns on the dragon. There are also turrets and such that the players can man. Short range players, and any player really, could actually ride on the dragon during one of the dragons skills. They cling on with one hand and strike the dragon with the other as the dragon goes up and out of the water (similar to the game, Colossus). After a little bit, the dragon will shake the player off onto the boat, or a lower chance, into the water. Sometimes, the player may be killed by Jormag. You may be surprised so far that characters could die so easily, but that just adds to the magnificence of the event. Besides, players die in missions all the time (like in Guild Wars 1 when they drop out one by one). If this whole event, or at least most of it, came to be, the Battle of Jormag would be a very interesting, unique, and enduring event!
