Your suggestion text goes here...
I do not know why heroes were removed from pvp in the first place (I have been away a while and came back to find it that way) but if the abuse involves any of the options bellow to fix the problem, PLEASE use them to fix it and bring back the heroes.
If the heroes were being abused by being used too much, a limit for the number of battles a hero can participate in can be set, to prevent the aspect of pvp, to becoming person with heroes vs people. each hero can have a set number of battles that they can participate in, and once that number of battles is over for the day, that hero can no longer be used in pvp that day.
If the heroes were being abused by spamming certain skills, a limit on the profession can be set (example only one monk, or only so many healing skills per hero, not including a resurrect skill). This prevents players from ignoring the aspect of taking care, and relying on heroes. The player will have SOME skills on a hero that heals/debuffs/enchants, but not so many as to ruin any aspect, the player would have to build the characters in a way as if they themselves were using them, not relying on them to weak FOR them. An extension of this could be to prevent multiple heroes of the same profession (2 monks/mesmers exc),effectively preventing players from "overusing" a specific class for a special purpose (2 mesmers to greatly debuff or interrupt the enemy).
If any of the above suggestions solve or aid in the re-establishment of heroes in pvp, PLEASE USE THEM. A lot of people payed for heroes in pvp and in taking them out, wasted faction, and they are now just sitting there, in the pvp store and players lists. If none of the above suggestions are the problem, then I merely ask that you try to implement some plan to prevent whatever the problem was, as it is such a waste to have a fun feature like that merely ripped halfway out of the game.
