Guild Wars 2 made a step forward with the character customization, you can make a unique face. Surely the developers got Shape right, but there is one thing that is missing in Guild Wars 2, and that is: Color. The list of color choices for Guild Wars 2 shown during videos of character creation are extremely poor, specially for hair color. It is understandable that the developers want to restrict character customization to stop it from getting out of hand(such as having the appearance of The Incredible Hulk), but even Guild Wars 1 had more hair color choices than the current Human Guild Wars 2 character!.
Consider that in Guild Wars 1, I could make a Human Elementalist or Necromancer with White, Purple, Blue, Black, Red, Silver, Blonde, Brown, Green and Pink hair color, with different shades of each.
However, in Guild Wars 2, I can only make a Human with White, Silver, Blonde, Red, Brown or Black hair, with different shades of each. Thats it?
I am very disappointed in this, this is a step backwards from Guild Wars 1, and a really poor choice towards Character Customization. Even in real life, numerous people dye their hair a variety of colors such as pink, blue, purple, green, or even patterns such as France-flag, US-flag, Canadian-flag. Why should we not be allowed to do the same in Guild Wars 2? If unnatural hair color does not bother anybody in real life, why should it bother people in a game? AND YOU HAD IT RIGHT IN GUILD WARS 1 FOR THE MOST PART!. Orange hair does not even exist in Guild Wars 1 or 2, and it is a natural hair color. Nika the henchman has purple hair in Guild Wars 1, doesnt she?
And trust me when i say, if you just took the EXACT SAME AVAILABLE COLOR CHOICES as the ones we had for say the Guild Wars 1 Necromancer, that would be enough in variety for customization.
I would like to make a character in Guild Wars 2 with at least 256 color choices, not just 6. My character cannot be unique if we are all blondes.
