Realm of Dreams[edit]

I would personally love to see a new "God Realm" area like FoW and UW made for Lyssa (would actually love to see one for all, but I only have an idea for the Lyssa). A lot of this is heavily influenced by Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask, because I think the game was great in every aspect; story, background, art, gameplay, and music, which are reasons I also like Guild Wars.

Overview[edit]

This area would be similar to Dragon's Lair, in that you have to travel to different parts of this realm to defeat different aspects (each one specializing in a different profession, and for hard mode having a unique environmental effect which should benefit only those of that profession). Much like Dragon's Lair it is a test to those who think they are pure enough to defeat the evil aspect that lies inside, much like Majora's Mask, it is crazy and wishes the world to burn (basically a mesmer gone bad, or the magical version of the Joker). This evil character was trapped long ago by Lyssa to use as a test for pure souls, or it could always be like Dhuum and trying to be released to burn the world down, and you must defeat each of these aspects to get to it and defeat for Lyssa.

Art Design[edit]

The main design of this realm would be a very colorful, and be similar to the end boss fight of Majora's Mask (I only say that because it has very dreamy atmosphere to it, and combined with the music before you actually fight, it makes it have a great feel to it, though a little melancholic) With slight tints to each profession's color scheme example. The final battle should take place in an area that has a look of true paradise (green grass, blue sky, blah blah blah) exmaple.

Both pics are taken from Majora's Mask, so yes I'm a little uncreative on this part, but at the same time, that game nailed the atmosphere and look for this kind of area.

Gameplay Aspects[edit]

Another interesting requirement you could add to this mission to make it slightly different (though Im not sure it would be too great of an idea), is increase the party size to 10, and require one of each profession in the party to enter. In each area, there should also be a bonus that can be done if you are skilled enough, so that you can get a special skill (akin to the celestial skills) which is unique to the profession of that area, and you can use during the remainder of your stay in the realm.

Another idea would to make this a solo area, where you are supposed to be unsupported, and must face foes all by yourself, since this is a test of your character, and of course should be balanced accordingly (though I think if that was the case, it would need to be broken down like DoA, and have a center outpost rather than make it all one zone). There should be a center area (with at least a merchant, maybe a couple collectors/crafters) so you have a safe area if you need to take a break during a run through this area. It should also allow you to choose which realm to go to, rather than be like Dragon's Lair and force you down a certain route. As far as drops that make this unique, maybe add a new set of weapons; Chaos Weapons, much like the Chaos Axe, but don't just make them glow, make them actually have some chaos as far as the color pattern and everything goes (some noise as far as the brightness goes), maybe a fractal-esque design; Of course a mini of the main boss; Uniques for each of the aspects (each one having 3 possible unique drops, like spell-casters having a staff, wand, and focus drop). Maybe add a new gemstone available as a drop (so you can actually craft the Chaos Weapons) or make it a way to get tonics or certain mini pets (things otherwise unattainable unless you use Zaishen Chests or try and find one in the market, which I think should have a way for PvE players to attain, other than just buying Zaishen Keys from PvP players and relying on birthdays).
