Feedback:User/Radthor Dax/Personalised Chat Log

I believe that the chat channel system could be vastly improved, with little programatical effort, by making more use of the tickboxes to show/hide channels. Let us examine this scenario: you happen to be in Kamadan in an american district. You are selling an item and are waiting for whispers and have all chats diabled. The high frequency of chat message being recieved in both local and trade chats very quickly cleans out your chat log after perhaps two minutes. Unless you are watching constantly you may miss a vital private message. Another situation might be that you are in a team, and are conversing with someone about builds and are sharing some of your creations. Guild and/or alliance chat is very busy and you have both disabled. Then you decide you want to refer back to a build that you pinged a few minutes ago. The chat log has run out and the build you didn't save is lost to the ether.

My suggestion is thus: give the channels that are currently shown priority over hidden channels. If the chat log gets long enough that something has to be lost, let the overflow be removed from a hidden chat channel and save the displayed ones for as long as is possible.

If you have all channels hidden and are waiting on whispers, remove those spammed trades from the hidden trade chat and the casual talk from local and keep those important whispers until they themselves start to overflow from the log. If you are chating in-party, keep the team chat alive and those builds available for viewing without worrying if your guildies and allies will drive them from the log with their infurnal jibbering.
