Chaos Axe Salvage

Seeing as how Chaos Gloves look like and have the same graphic effects as the Chaos Axe, why shouldn't it be salvageable for globs of ectoplasm? You can't easily farm axes, and as long as you also keep the chance of getting a steel ingot(s) as a rare salvage, it would still be a matter of chance to get an ecto. This would also take the sting out of getting an axe that's not max nor inscribable, when you know you might get an ecto out of it.
