Feedback:User/Ravious/Artistic Character Selection

One game, Severance:Blade of Darkness, really stood out in my mind. Not for gameplay or story, but for character selection. The 4-5 characters were arranged around in a ruined keep, and scrolling through them would move the camera to the position of each character. So the fighter would be on top of the ruined keep sharpening his blade, and the dwarf would be sitting near the well pulling at his beard, etc.

Rather than just changing which character is on a pedestal, it would rock to have your characters ALIVE at the selection screen. You could have a place for the top 4 or so, each doing their thing, and then "alts" could be elsewhere. Like once you pressed the arrows enough to get to an alt, the alt could be seen walking up from the cellar.

The race of the character could also have an effect on the action. So if a character is sitting at a well... the human could be drawing god symbols in the dirt, the charr could be tossing stones down the well, the norn could silently taking sips from the cold bucket of water, the asuran could be doing weird tech magic on orbs of water, and the plant people could be growing vines around the well.

Anyway, the core idea is to put a little art in to the character scene.
