A thing I always found irritating while playing any game was that weapons are always right handed. Being a left handed player, this feels very unnatural and has a hard time connecting with the character. I'm sure I'm not alone on this one. My suggestion is a simple option in character selection that would let you choose between left and right-handed weapon wielding.
